    St. John's

St. John's is one of the oldest cities in North America. Today it is home to 102,000 people.
Signal Hill National Historic Site is where Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal in 1901.
C.A. Pippy Park was designed to blend in the modern architecture of the city with the steep hillsides and woodlands of the area. A more traditional English-style park with a Peter Pan statue and swans is Bowring Park.
The Newfoundland Museum looks at Newfoundland and Labrador history dating back to early aboriginal settlements.
St. John's main attraction is its culture - a variety of which can be experienced in downtown pubs and clubs. The city is also a centre for visual arts, comedy and theatre. Visit the Arts and Culture Centre.
